The Ballarat Horse Show brings together riders, breeders, families, and horse lovers for a full day of competition, community, and country pride.

Proudly hosted by the Ballarat Agricultural & Pastoral Society, the show highlights the best of regional equestrian talent across a wide range of classes and disciplines.

The Ballarat Horse Show is one of the region’s longest-running equestrian events, showcasing excellence in horsemanship, breeding, and presentation.

Run by the Ballarat Agricultural & Pastoral Society, the show reflects our commitment to supporting rural communities, promoting animal welfare, and celebrating the traditions of agricultural sport.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, a first-time exhibitor, or a spectator enjoying the atmosphere, the Ballarat Horse Show offers a welcoming and professionally run event for all ages.

Set against the backdrop of Ballarat’s heritage, the event offers a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both competitors and spectators, continuing to honour its history while supporting the future of equestrian sport.

Competitors of all levels are invited to participate.  Subject to registration, the Ballarat Horse Show offers:

Competitor Information

We aim to provide a safe, fair, and enjoyable experience for all competitors.

 

Important Notes

  • All horses must be in sound condition and compliant with welfare standards.
  • Approved helmets must be worn at all times when mounted.
  • Competitors must follow the directions of stewards and officials.
  • Refunds are issued only under veterinary or medical certificate (unless otherwise stated).
